Dear Magen David Congregation family,

We recently announced the establishment of Magen David Congregation's membership. One of the main reasons for establishing the membership is to secure a steady flow of funds to help cover the increasing budget of our congregation, which has grown to offer multiple learning programs, minyanim, and events to fulfill the needs of our expanding community needs. Membership fees will be in addition to pledges which will continue to be our main funding source.

The benefits of membership include, but are not limited to:

Discounts for congregational-sponsored events
⁠Priority and discount for renting the synagogue facilities for private events
⁠Right to own a seat (subject to availability. Note: existing seat owners require a full membership.)
High Holidays seat priority and discount
⁠Right to vote in elections for Magen David Board of Directors
⁠Access to our new Bylaws

There are three membership categories:

Full Membership ($1200/year): Individual or family membership for local residents or seat owners
Young Resident Membership ($600/year): Individual or family membership for local residents up to 30 years of age
Seasonal Membership ($501/year): Individual or family or membership for non-residents

Please join us in making our beloved Magen David Congregation more structured and organized for the future of our growing community. Once we have a critical mass of members we will proceed with formal elections, which timing will be determined in the coming months.
